Cultural/Historic

2004  City of Joseph/Nez Perce      Region - Eastern
A land use dispute involving potential development on culturally sensitive lands near Wallowa Lake was helped to access mediation services from Federal Community Relations Service. The mediation did not resolve the issues, but did address various options for protecting the land, which were being pursued.

2004-05 Eugene Historical District      Region - Willamette Valley
An extended assessment was conducted of the potential for collaborative approaches to address land use and other neighborhood issues surrounding the potential designation of a residential district as an historical district following its potential placement on the National Register of Historic Places. No formal process was undertaken following the assessment, but the City was better able to work with the groups involved based on all of their input.
